IMPORTANT NATIONAL ORAGANISATION

• National Council of Educational Research an Training ( NCERT ) :
It is set up in sept. 1961 , with headquarters at New delhi , it assist and advises the central and state government on acadamic matters related to school education .
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research ( CSIR) :
The organisation provides scientific and Industrial research for value for Indias sustained growth , strategic needs and narturing of national human resources in science and technology.
• Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) : It was constituted as an automous organisation responsible for the planning , organising , implementation and coordination of medical research in country .
• National Scheduled Tribes Financial Development Corporation ( NSTFDC) :
It was set up in April 2001 , by bifurcating the national scheduled cast and scheduled tribes financial development corporation . it provides granced for skill development programme for STs .
• National Backward Classes Finance and Development corporation (NBCFDC ) :
It was set on jan. 30 ,1992 , with the objective of providing concessionan finance to the members of backward classes living below the poverty line for there socio-economic development by extending then loans for income generating scheme .
• Central Statistical Organisation ( CSO ) :
It is responsible for formulation and maintainance of statistical standards , work pertaining to national accounts , industrial statistics , consumer price index for urban non manual employees training in official statistics , coordination of statistcal activities under taken within the country and liaisoning with international agencies in statistical matters.
• National Sample survey Organisation (NSSO) :
It was set up in 1950 , and reorganised in 1970 , the activities of NSSO are guided by a governing council with the requisite . independence and autonomy in matters relating to collection , processing and publication of NSS data .
• Small Industris Development Organisation ( SIDO) :
It was set up in 1984 ,functions as an apex body in the formulation of policy and coordination of institutional activity both at the centre and the state level , for sustained and organised growth of small scale small industry.
• Press Council of India :
It was established for the purpose of preserving the freedom of the press and maintaining and improving the standard of news papers and news agencies in india .
• Life Insourance Corporation of India(LIC):-
It was established on sept.1,1956 to spread the message of life insourance in the country and mobolise peoples saving for nation building activities.
• National Film Development Corporation(NFDC) :- It was restructured in 1980. its primary objective is to foster excellence in cinema and to develop state of the art technology in audio- visual and related fields.
• National Water Resources Council ( NWRC ) : Set up in march 1983 , is an apex body to evolve national policies for development and uses of water resources in conformity with the highest national interest .
• National Safty Council (NSC ) : It was set up in 1966 to promote safty consciousness amon workers to prevent accidents , minimise dangers and mitigate human suffering , arranges progammes , lectures and conferences on safety , conducts educational campaigns to arouse consciousness among employers and workers and collects educational and information data etc..
